Sheng Qi (Life Generating)
The best of the eight directions in the Eight Mansions system, linked to vitality, wealth and opportunity.
The most auspicious direction
Sheng Qi (生气) means "generating breath". In the Eight Mansions system it is the strongest of the four auspicious directions and is associated with growth, income and new opportunities.
Where to apply it
The main door, the desk facing direction and the living room all benefit from Sheng Qi. It is less suitable for a bedroom, where the calmer Yan Nian or Tian Yi directions are preferred.
